My Favorite Hats for Summer
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have a bit of a hat OBSESSION. In fact, I have quite the collection of wide brim straw hats and felt fedoras. When I am out and see a great hat I can’t resist its charm! Hence the reason my collection keeps growing exponentially.
Personally, I feel hats are the perfect accessory. Not only are they fabulous for covering a bad hair day, but they can elevate any look. Hats have the ability to take a “ho-hum” closet basic and turn it into a fabulously chic moment!
Unfortunately, lots of women are intimidated by hats and feel they can’t pull off certain styles. I am here to tell you that is simply not true! All women can look great in hats. The secret is knowing the right ones to purchase and how to style them.
This summer there are 4 hats that I am currently “crushing on”. All of them are super affordable and look amazing on!
The Wide-Brim Hat
I absolutely love Brixton hats. Their hats are amazing quality and look super expensive. My favorite is the Joanna style. This hat provides great sun coverage, and pairs perfectly with many pieces in my closet. Whether I am spending a day at the beach, or picnicking in a sunny spot this is my go-to hat for most sunny occasions.
I really like to wear this hat with an oversized tunic or paired with a fabulous swimmie and cover up.

The Fedora
One of my most worn hats is this felt fedora by Urban Outfitters. In fact, this exact hat is coveted by fashionistas everywhere. It can take an ordinary outfit and give it that air of mystique. You don’t have to be attending Coachella to pull off this fedora. Don’t be afraid to give your outfit some boho edge by adding this to your every day style.
I love to wear mine with a feminine blouse and high waisted denim or a Free People inspired maxi dress. In cooler months, it looks great paired with skinnies and a chunky knit sweater.

The StraW hat
When getting dressed, I love adding a little drama to my outfit. I have always been a fan of a gorgeous straw hat. Whether I am lounging by a resort pool or brunching with friends, this hat always brings the chic! I am smitten with this budget friendly style from Target. It gives you that old Hollywood glam without breaking the bank.
My favorite ways to wear this hat are with retro inspired outfits or classic one piece swimsuits. I suggest if you are taking a vacation this summer, make sure to add this to your packing list!

THE BOATER HAT
I am swooning over this classic style! This timeless hat can add an element of sophistication to all your summer fashions. Originally, I feel in love with the Gucci version of this hat. However, I wasn’t able to swallow that price tag! After I searched all over for similar style, I found this affordable one from Target. It’s beautifully constructed and adorned with a black grosgrain ribbon.
I adore wearing a boater hat with feminine dresses. Whether it’s maxi, midi, floral, or flirty this hat compliments all styles. If dresses aren’t your thing, rock it with your favorite band tee and distressed denim.
