Hey Guys! I’m Kelly

I’m so excited that you’re here at Cleverly Chic! I’m a little bit obsessed with sharing my love for Affordable Fashion, all things Beauty and Mom Life tips and tricks. You should think of me as the friend you call when you are ready to roam the aisles of Target, scour the sales and chat over a cup of coffee. 

Growing up, I always had a passion for fashion. Clothes, shoes and accessories were my jam!  I’d spend hours looking through magazines, shopping, putting together outfits, and discovering my own personal style.  Then I went to college and had to face the reality of a budget.  I quickly learned that my curated style wasn’t going to last unless I could figure out a way to express my creativity on a dime.  So, it was out of necessity that my ‘style-on-a-budget” came to be a way of life and my favorite hobby!

If you’ve ever seen a “Look for Less” feature in a magazine or on Instagram, then you should know that I basically do that in real life.  I’ve always had a knack for finding expensive-looking items at a fraction of the cost and being able to style them so that I look like I just stepped out of a high end store.  Friends have always asked how to do it or where I found a particular piece. Sharing my tips and tricks with them lead me to create the Cleverly Chic blog!!

Some of my favorite places to shop are Target, Red Dress, H&M, J. Crew, Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, QVC & HSN.  I am honored to say that many of these brands and more have even featured me on their websites and social media (target.com, QVC.com, Red Dress, Jill Martin, Soma Intimates, Beachwaver, Realher, Harry Slatkin, Barefoot Dreams and more!).  

 When I’m not flexing my budget-friendly style skills, you can find me spending quality time with my husband and two children in beautiful sunny South Florida. I’m a firm believer in coffee, cabernet and Jesus getting me through my busy days…not necessarily in that order! I’m a bit of a procrastinator but find I do my best work under pressure.  And if you are not a fan of rigid schedules, you and I may be kindred spirits!  I truly mean it when I say that I hope we can be friends.  Seriously, leave a comment or just say hello!  I’m so excited to have you as a part of the Cleverly Chic community.
